I owned what was a very popular diner. The entire dinner was much like a buffet but with only one table of food and many tables scattered about. The food was huge pans of meat surrounded by rolls and the sides. The diner was always teeming with those dining and the talk was light and loud.
One day I went to the basement and noticed that I could see a good section of the house next to the diner. There was a three foot gap that I could see the entire living room and the kitchen and the feet of those at the table having their evening meal. I knew that this had to be fixed right away and I was worried there was other damage that I had not seen before.
